Founded in 2021 by a Nova Scotia transplant who ended up in the Kootenays via the scenic route and decided to stay.

The name comes from skiing. A kickturn is the deliberate pivot you make on a steep climb when the only way forward is to change direction and keep moving. It marked a career shift and became a mindset: progress requires intention, and changing course is part of building something.

Kickturn is not about trends. It is about doing the work properly and letting that speak for itself.
