Frequently asked questions

What kind of coffee do you roast?

We focus on approachable, medium-adjacent coffees — mainly from Guatemala — that work beautifully for everyday filter and espresso drinkers. No Italian roasts here.

Where does your coffee come from?

We source almost directly from Ricardo Zelaya in Antigua, Guatemala. We love travelling there to choose from his family's three farms, right down to the micro lot. Our import partner is Common Goal Coffee. Long-standing relationships matter to us more than variety.

We also source occasionally from Ethiopia and limited rare lots from across the globe.

Is my coffee fresh?

Yes. We roast to order and ship within a few days of roasting. You'll find the roast date on every bag.

Is your coffee organic?

Our coffees are not certified organic, though many of our producers use sustainable farming practices. Certification is expensive for small farms — we focus on quality and traceability over labels.

Can I pick up locally?

Yes — come visit us at 253 Wallinger Ave, Kimberley BC. We're open Monday to Friday, 7:30 to 14:00 and weekends, 10:00 to 14:00. You can also order online and choose local pickup at checkout.
