Producer Story
Antigua Finca Pulcal is grown on Hacienda Carmona, a historic estate dating back to 1541 and long renowned for its rich agricultural heritage. Introduced by the Zelaya family in the late 1800s, the farm’s original Bourbón and Typica varieties still thrive today in the unique microclimate of the Antigua Valley, where they are carefully cultivated and washed with pristine mountain spring water. Guided by a thoughtful pruning system and a legacy upheld by Maria Zelaya Aguirre since 1959, the estate continues to evolve under Luis Pedro and Ricardo Zelaya, incorporating new varieties and maintaining its own wet mill while dry processing at Finca Santa Clara.
